Hluhluwe Game Reserve and Zulu Culture - GOLD

two day tour introduces us to mystical Zululand. We visit an authentic Zulu village for an insight into their culture and enjoy the energy of some tribal dancing. The second day is spent in the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi (Imfolozi) reserve in search of the wildlife. After a final game drive in the early afternoon we depart for Durban where we arrive late afternoon.

The Hluhluwe Game Reserve and Zulu Culture GOLD package is our Tried and Tested Hluhluwe GOLD Tour. It offers LUXURY Accommodation with full breakfasts, includes all the activities mentioned and three course, buffet type dinners.

Policies & disclaimers

1. The Hluhluwe Game Reserve and Zulu Culturetour requires a 20% deposit payment at the time of booking. The final amount is due 35 days before departure.
2. 100% Deposit will be required when departure date is LESS than 40 Days from time of booking.

4. Children under 12 years sharing with both parents pays 50% of the fee subject to availability.
5. Infants under 2 years old pay only for certain services provided by the hotels. Bring an infant seat along or request one from us at R60.00 per day.
6. Please inform us of any special culinary, physical or other requirements you may have when booking your tour.
7. Third person sharing are accommodated on certain tours, please ask us.
8. Once you paid online for a tour and for some reason it is not available, we shall inform you of the situation and refund you fully within 72 hours of your payment made if other proposed options are not suitable with no further liability to any party.

10. Please inform us if you require any pre- and/or post tour accommodation and/or other services.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 - Durban - DumaZulu Cultural Village - Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve.
We travel north through sugar cane fields past KwaDukuza, the home of Shaka (the father of the Zulu nation), and through large eucalyptus plantations and alongside titanium mining operations towards the subtropical coast and bushveld of Zululand. We visit a Zulu Cultural Village(DumaZulu) for a cultural experience. We are taken to the Sangoma (diviner also erroneously called the 'Witch doctor') and treated to some authentic tribal dancing. After lunch we depart for the “Big Five” Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park where our close encounter with the African wildlife begins. After and early dinner we depart in an open vehicle on a night game drive using powerful spotlights to find the elusive nocturnal animals. We return late evening, after an unforgettable experience, for a well-deserved rest at Hilltop Camp in the reserve.

DAY 2 - Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve - Travel back to Durban.
Today we spend most of the day viewing the wildlife of Africa in the park that became world famous for saving the rhino from extinction, and return mid-afternoon to Durban.
